Multi-HR Game for Ripken Jr. in 20-9 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 36-year old second baseman Cal Ripken Jr. helped the Milwaukee Otters beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 20-9. Brooklyn is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
With Milwaukee leading 3-2 in the top of the third, Ripken Jr. hit a slider from Matt Perisho for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Otters ahead, 6-2.
"We came out aggressive," said Otters manager . "We came out swinging the bats."
