Victory Over Bisons Takes Jacksonville to 27-13
|
The Buffalo Bisons went down to defeat to Eric Nolte and his Jacksonville teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Suns. Earning his 13th save for Jacksonville was Tony Fossas. Jacksonville has an impressive 27-13 record.
With one out in the bottom of the third, Ozzie Timmons barreled up a knuckleball from Dennis Springer. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Suns in front, 4-0.
Timmons said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
