Blue Jays Turn Back Orioles, 4-2
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Danny Jackson pitched effectively against the Baltimore Orioles at Memorial Stadium. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 4-2 win. Antonio Osuna picked up the save for Toronto, his 3rd of the year. The Orioles fall to 5-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Will Clark, who finished 4th in the FL in RBI with 125 in 1989, chipped in for Toronto with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Toronto manager Jose Mata. "It's usually not just one thing."
