Wasdin Pitches Swamp Foxes to Shutout Victory
|
John Wasdin of the Savannah Swamp Foxes spun his magic on the Brooklyn Cyclones today. He blanked them 10-0 on 7 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and no walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Wasdin said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Savannah skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"John pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
Currently Wasdin has a 5-0 won-lost record in 5 starts with a 1.50 ERA. He also has 33 strikeouts in 48 innings.
