Ocean City beat Buffalo on the strength of starter Kevin Jarvis's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Jarvis, the winner, moves to 2-7. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. With the win over Buffalo, the Blue Crabs improved to 12-32.

With runs few and far between, the Blue Crabs had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Ocean City came in the top of the third inning, when designated hitter Keith Mitchell delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Dennis Springer and made the score 1-0, Blue Crabs. Mitchell went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Mitchell told the Ocean City News. "It's as simple as that."
