Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Beasties

The Bluff City Beasties sent the home crowd home smiling from Ravens Ballpark.
The Bluff City Beasties beat the Rochester Red Wings, 11-10, at Ravens Ballpark. Bluff City second baseman Jeff Manto earned player of the game honors. He collected 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Bluff City reliever Brad Clontz was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Ryan Karp.
The Beasties were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Carney Lansford turned a 0-2 fastball from Ryan Karp into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Bluff City a thrilling 11-10 win.
Lansford described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
Bluff City is now 25-21, Rochester 20-26.
