Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Blue Crabs
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs stopped the Jacksonville Suns, 8-7, behind an impressive performance from Randy Knorr. The 26-year old catcher made life miserable for Jacksonville pitching. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ocean City reliever Gabe White was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Tony Fossas took the loss. Ocean City is last in the Atlantic Southeast with a record of 14-32.
Ray Durham went 2-5 with a double for Ocean City. In the bottom of the ninth, with the teams deadlocked, 7-7, Durham delivered for the Blue Crabs. His run-scoring double put Ocean City on top, 8-7.
