Fans who gathered at Stags Ballpark saw a good contest between the Columbus Clippers and Milwaukee Otters.
The Columbus Clippers got a strong performance from pitcher Kirk McCaskill, who stymied the Milwaukee offense en route to a 4-2 win at Stags Ballpark. Nelson Cruz earned the save for Columbus, his 11th.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when first baseman Derrek Lee, who is rated as the 7th best prospect by BNN, drew a walk. The Clippers went on to win.
"It was a good effort all around," said McCaskill.
The 4th-place Clippers improved to 23-26.
