Clippers Win at Milwaukee, 7-5
|
Frank Catalanotto had a good game, but he could not keep the Milwaukee Otters from falling, 7-5, to the Columbus Clippers at Stags Ballpark. The Milwaukee first baseman went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles in the loss. Columbus starter Jamey Wright was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 4-4. The save was Nelson Cruz's, his 12th.
It could have been a different outcome for Columbus, had it not been for Bubba Trammell, the 25-year old right fielder . Trammell contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Columbus up, 4-2.
Trammell told a Columbus Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The win boosts the Clippers to 24-26. The loss puts the Otters at 24-26.
