Victory Pushes Beasties Record to 27-23
Bluff City Beasties starter Steve W Sparks turned in a top-notch performance against the Jacksonville Suns at Field of the Running Rebels. The result was a win for the Beasties, 6-1. Sparks went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-4. The Beasties bumped their record to 27-23 with this latest triumph.

Walt McKeel had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the top of the second inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run, helping Bluff City to the win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Sparks said after the game.
