Starting pitcher Armando Reynoso pitched well enough to help the Columbus Clippers beat the Danville Dairy Daddies by the score of 7-5. Doug Simons earned his 11th save in 11 tries. The Clippers, now 20-29, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Columbus relied on the hitting of Quinton McCracken to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Clippers on top, 4-3. For the game, McCracken had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Reynoso said.
