Stanley Excels, But Red Wings Win
Danville catcher Mike Stanley had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-6, to Rochester at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Stanley went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Tom Urbani picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-4. He struck out 4 in 5 innings. At 22-28, the Red Wings find themselves in 5th place in the Atlantic Northeast.

The Red Wings beat the Dairy Daddies with some clutch hitting. The single by Scott Sheldon in the bottom of the third is a good example. With two down, Sheldon gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he came through with the big hit.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Sheldon said.
