Mirabelli Slugs Suns to 10-4 Win
A 6-RBI performance from the 26-year old catcher Doug Mirabelli helped the Jacksonville Suns beat the Danville Dairy Daddies, 10-4. The winner was Ricky Bones, who threw 109 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. Getting the save was Jack McDowell, his 2nd.

Mirabelli had a critical at-bat in the top of the fourth for Jacksonville, coming through with a 3-run home run to put Jacksonville in front, 5-1.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Mirabelli.

The Suns are now 25-26, while the Dairy Daddies fall to 21-30.
