The Beasties had to overcome a good performance from Asheville pitcher Chan Ho Park to claim a 3-2 win at Ravens Ballpark. Park went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Beasties bumped their record to 28-23 with this latest triumph.

Walt McKeel aided the Bluff City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a walk.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Asheville manager .
