Slammers Continue Skid Thanks to Knorr, Blue Crabs
|
Randy Knorr knocked in 4 runs to help Ocean City beat Southeast, 8-5. The catcher collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Rocky Childress closed the game out for Ocean City, earning his 2nd save. The Slammers, at 22-32, have lost 5 in a row.
Knorr contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Ocean City get the win.
"We played hard and won," said Knorr. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
