Victory Over Mud Hens Takes Hartford to 38-18
Hartford and Toledo duked it out at Stags Ballpark and the Whalers came out victorious.

Hartford beat Toledo on the strength of starter Bryan Rekar's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Billy Wagner converted his 15th save in 16 tries.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Ryan Thompson to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Whalers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Thompson said after the game.

Hartford has an impressive 38-18 record.
