Hits Galore: Marshall Drills 5 Hits
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Brooklyn's 10-6 win over Jacksonville today, first baseman Mike Marshall was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Field of the Running Rebels.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Marshall said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Mike Marshall singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off A J Sager in the 8th.
Marshall is currently batting .352 with 8 home runs and 39 RBIs.
