Suns Come Back Late to Clip Otters
|
Jacksonville and Milwaukee duked it out at Field of the Running Rebels and the Suns came out victorious.
The Jacksonville Suns topped the Milwaukee Otters, 6-4, in Atlantic action at Field of the Running Rebels. The player of the game was Jacksonville pitcher Jeff Fassero. Fassero went the distance for Jacksonville. He gave up 4 earned runs on 7 hits.
Jacksonville took a 6-4 lead on Chris Gomez's 13th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Gomez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Milwaukee pitcher Mark Clear visibly frustrated.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Gomez told the Jacksonville News.
With the win over Milwaukee, the Suns improved to 27-28.
