Relaford Helps Milwaukee Cruise to 17-2 Win
|
The Milwaukee Otters defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 17-2, in Atlantic action at Field of the Running Rebels, with Milwaukee designated hitter Desi Relaford named player of the game. Milwaukee, now 29-27, holds third place in the Atlantic Northeast.
With Milwaukee leading 12-1 in the top of the fifth, Relaford hit a 3-run home run off Jacksonville hurler Jack McDowell. It was the 3rd home run of the season for Relaford and put his team ahead, 15-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Relaford.
