The Savannah Swamp Foxes wasted an impressive 8.1-inning effort from starter John Wasdin, falling 1-0 to the Rochester Red Wings at Paradise Grounds. Rochester reliever Brad Woodall was credited with the win, to go to 4-0. John Wasdin took the loss for Savannah. The Red Wings now have a record of 23-31.

Tom Lampkin was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles for Rochester. The 33-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases empty, he broke a 0-0 tie with a solo home run off John Wasdin. It was his 4th home run of the season.
