Danville beat Bluff City at Kernels Ballpark, eking out a 14-13 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Rusty Greer, who earned player of the game honors. The winner was Danville reliever Aaron Small, now 2-4. The loser was Joe Hudson. Danville is now 24-33.

Mike Blowers aided the Danville cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Blowers said in his postgame press conference.
