Cyclones Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Southeast
|
The Southeast Slammers and Brooklyn Cyclones cranked it up at Ballpark of Fremont.
The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Ballpark of Fremont, knocking off the Southeast Slammers, 7-3. On the mound for Brooklyn was right-hander Bob Milacki, who played a pivotal role in the win. Milacki got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 10 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. Milacki allowed 3 earned runs.
Harold Baines had a big run-scoring triple for the Cyclones in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brooklyn leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Rob Woodward and stroked the triple to center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cyclones ahead, 3-1.
"It feels good to get this one," Milacki told the Brooklyn Bulletin.
The Cyclones, at 34-31, have now won 4 straight.
