Moonshiners Lose, 4-1, at Ballpark of Fremont
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones took Asheville pitcher Matt Beech's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Fremont. The final score had Brooklyn getting past the Moonshiners, 4-1. Beech went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs, striking out 9. Matt Perisho was credited with the save for Brooklyn, his 1st of the season. Brooklyn is last in the Atlantic Northeast with a record of 6-57.
Brooklyn took a 3-1 lead on Joe Siddall's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Asheville pitcher Matt Beech in the bottom of the seventh.
"I like what I saw today," said Brooklyn manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
