Darren Bragg helped his team muscle past the Brooklyn Cyclones, 13-7. In the game, the Asheville left fielder went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. At 36-28, Asheville is in second place in the Atlantic Southeast.
Bragg came through with some timely hitting for Asheville. With the score 0-0 in the top of the fourth and two down, Bragg hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. His 69th hit of the season made it 1-0, Asheville.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Bragg.
