The Bluff City Beasties eked out a 6-5 win versus the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds. Nobody did more than right fielder Roberto Kelly, who captured player of the game honors. Bluff City reliever Dan Serafini picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Angel Miranda shouldered the loss. Mark Small converted his 1st save in 5 tries.

The Beasties beat the Swamp Foxes with some clutch hitting. The single by Tom Evans in the top of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Evans gave his team the lead, 4-3, when he came through with the big hit.

Kelly said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."

Bluff City is 5th in the Atlantic Southeast with a record of 31-32.
