Close Win Moves Red Wings to 28-39
|
The Rochester Red Wings stopped the Columbus Clippers, 4-3, at Mules Ballpark. The Red Wings got a big game from Kevin Koslofski, who was 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Wade Taylor, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 11 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 5-7. Chuck Crim notched his 10th save in 12 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Rochester, had it not been for Terrell Lowery, the 26-year old center fielder . Lowery contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Rochester up, 4-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Rochester manager .
With the win over Columbus, the Red Wings improved to 28-39.
