The Bluff City Beasties had no problem beating the Brooklyn Cyclones, 20-3, at Ravens Ballpark. Walt McKeel led the way. He was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 5 for Bluff City. Bluff City has a 3-game win streak, while Brooklyn has lost 4 in a row.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the third, with Bluff City trailing 3-2, Pat Watkins was at the plate when Bluff City scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Beasties to go in front, 4-3.

McKeel told a Bluff City Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
