Blue Crabs Score Late, Upend Swamp Foxes, 4-2
|
Alan Benes pitched well, but the Savannah Swamp Foxes still lost the game, falling 4-2 to the Ocean City Blue Crabs at Paradise Grounds. Scott Brow, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Gabe White, credited with the save, is now 8 for 11 in save opportunities.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Curtis Pride, who is tied for 5th in the ATL in triples with 4, hit a single. The Blue Crabs went on to win.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Pride said after the game.
The 5th-place Blue Crabs have won 4 straight games.
