Cyclones Continue Skid Thanks to Stanley, Dairy Daddies

The Danville Dairy Daddies defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, 19-7, in Atlantic action at Ballpark of Fremont. Mike Stanley received player of the game honors. The 1-year veteran went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 3 walks. He scored 4 times. Cal Eldred, credited with the win, is now 5-9. He allowed 6 runs on 5 hits in 5.2 innings. The losses continue to add up for Brooklyn, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Brant Brown put Danville in front, 8-2, when he took Curt Lyons downtown. His grand slam home run came with two out in the top of the sixth. It was his 18th home run of the season.
"The vibe's good," said Danville manager . "We've got to keep it going."
