Rangers Win Another One
|
The Texas Rangers managed to get by the New York Yankees, 4-3, at Arlington Stadium. Texas pitcher David West took player of the game honors. West went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 2-2. The loss lowers the New York record to 8-9.
Brad Ausmus was vital part of the Texas win. He went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth with one out, Ausmus hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 4-2, in favor of the Rangers.
Ausmus called the win "a collective effort."
