Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
The Washington Senators eked out a 1-0 win versus the Los Angeles Dodgers at RFK Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher John Burkett, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Burkett, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Milt Hill finished the game for Washington and earned his 1st save.

The Senators got a lift from first baseman Rafael Palmeiro who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth inning off Matt Young. It was his 9th walk of the season and put Washington in front, 1-0.

"Everything felt in sync," said Burkett.

The Dodgers fall to 7-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 1995 season.
