Otters Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Ocean City
|
The Milwaukee Otters beat the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 8-3, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Cal Ripken Jr. was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The 36-year old second baseman was a menace to Ocean City all day. The Otters' win now puts them at 40-36.
Brian Harper made an early impact for Milwaukee when he stroked his 55th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which came with one out in the top of the second, put the Otters on top, 2-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager said.
