Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Aaron Boone, the Asheville Moonshiners defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 6-3. Boone went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Moonshiners. The Moonshiners bumped their record to 42-33 with this latest triumph.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when center fielder Rikkert Faneyte grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Moonshiners went on to win.

Boone told a Asheville Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
