Victory Pushes Moonshiners Record to 45-34
Despite a great performance by Jacksonville designated hitter Ryan McGuire, the Asheville Moonshiners defeated the Suns by the score of 7-4 at Field of the Running Rebels. McGuire was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Moonshiners bumped their record to 45-34 with this latest triumph.

The Moonshiners used some clutch hitting to beat the Suns, a good example being the at-bat of Deivi Cruz in the top of the sixth. With two down, Cruz gave his team the lead, 4-2, when he hit a bases-clearing double.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Cruz told the Asheville Daily News.
