The Bluff City Beasties bested the Rochester Red Wings, 6-4, at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Dante Powell was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 5th-place Beasties improved to 40-39.
In the top of the second, Bluff City shortstop George Arias had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and no one out, Arias stroked a 2-run home run to left. It made the score 2-1, Bluff City. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
