The Rochester Red Wings did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Danville Dairy Daddies at Kernels Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Tom Urbani, who captured player of the game honors. Urbani got the win, improving to 9-7. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Urbani allowed no earned runs. At 35-48, the Red Wings are currently 5th in the Atlantic Northeast.

Rich Aurilia, who is rated as the 51st best prospect by BNN, aided the Rochester cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Danville manager . "But we decided not to take it."
