Dairy Daddies Top Clippers in Extras
|
Columbus pitcher Anthony Young gave the Dairy Daddies all they could handle, but in the end, Danville left Mules Ballpark with a 3-1 win. Young allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 9 innings. Reliever Joe Borowski picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Doug Simons took the loss. Danville has now won 9 straight.
Danville used the bat of Sam Horn to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dairy Daddies ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Horn.
