Spirited fans at Mules Ballpark greeted the Columbus Clippers for their clash with the Danville Dairy Daddies.

The Danville Dairy Daddies picked up a win at Mules Ballpark, knocking off the Columbus Clippers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Oswaldo Peraza played a key role in the triumph. Peraza went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-9. Joe Borowski converted his 20th save in 23 tries.

Danville took a 4-1 lead on Floyd Rayford's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Columbus pitcher Bryan Eversgerd in the top of the ninth.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Peraza said after the game.

Danville has now won 10 in a row.
