Diamondbacks Walk It Off for 9th Win of Season
The Arizona Diamondbacks downed the New York Mets, 6-4, at Bank One Ballpark. Lance Blankenship led the way, going 2-for-3 for Arizona. The win was credited to Marvin Freeman in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Mike Sirotka took the loss. The defending champion Diamondbacks have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 9-10 with the win.

Moises Alou swatted a 2-run home run for Arizona in the bottom of the ninth. The designated hitter went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 3 runs and batted in 2.

"This place sure got loud," said Alen Maglajac, the Arizona manager.
