The Jacksonville Suns topped the Danville Dairy Daddies, 11-8, with catcher Doug Mirabelli playing a big role. Mirabelli went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Suns in the win. Mike Morgan got the win, improving to 9-4. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 9 hits and 8 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Jacksonville took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Damon Buford hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Suns fans to their feet.
