The Savannah Swamp Foxes eked out a 2-1 win versus the Rochester Red Wings at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Nobody did more than pitcher John Wasdin, who captured player of the game honors. The Swamp Foxes improve their record to 51-38 with the win over Rochester.

In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Rochester allowed the Swamp Foxes to go up, 2-1, on a Rochester error.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Hayes told the Savannah Daily News. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
