Sun Rays Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-0 at Chicago
|
Orlando pitcher Allen Watson did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago White Sox, 6-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Watson got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 0 over 5.2 innings. Watson allowed no earned runs. The win brings the Sun Rays to 11-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Orlando took the lead with one out in the top of the fourth when Ken Caminiti stroked a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0 in favor of Orlando. For the day, Caminiti went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"Feels good to get the job done," Watson said after the game.
