Felix goes 3-for-4 as Blue Crabs Squeeze Past Columbus

The Ocean City Blue Crabs beat the Columbus Clippers, 6-5, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The Blue Crabs got a fine performance from right fielder Junior Felix, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Kevin Jarvis picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 10-5. Brian Bevil converted his 20th save in 22 tries.
Felix contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Ocean City in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Felix took a sinker from Kirk McCaskill and stroked the double to right-center. His 17th double of the season allowed the Blue Crabs to leap in front, 3-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Felix told the Ocean City Observer.
The Blue Crabs bumped their record to 50-40 with this latest triumph.
