Mercedes Dazzles in Rochester Win
|
The losses keep piling up for the Brooklyn Cyclones.
Brooklyn had no answer for Rochester Red Wings hurler Jose Mercedes, who overwhelmed Cyclones hitters as the Red Wings coasted to a 15-1 victory. The current losing streak for Brooklyn has reached 18 games.
Mercedes was effective for Rochester, seldom allowing the Cyclones to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 124 pitches over 8.2 innings. He limited Brooklyn to just 1 run on 4 hits.
"We're in a funk right now," said Brooklyn skipper .
