Cyclones Walk It Off for 47th Win of Season
|
Fans who gathered at Ballpark of Fremont saw a good contest between the Brooklyn Cyclones and Asheville Moonshiners.
The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Ballpark of Fremont, knocking off the Asheville Moonshiners, 4-2. Starting pitcher Danny Cox played a key role in the triumph. Brooklyn goes to 47-46, Asheville to 59-34.
In the bottom of the 12th, Brooklyn designated hitter Harold Baines had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and two out, Baines stroked a 2-run home run to right. It made the score 4-2, Brooklyn. For the game, he was 1-6 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
In postgame comments, Baines said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
