Walk-Off Victory for Otters Takes Record to 47-46
The Bluff City Beasties got a superb performance from pitcher Steve W Sparks. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Milwaukee. The Otters won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Sparks was named the player of the game. He threw 10 innings allowing 2 runs. Milwaukee is now 47-46, Bluff City 46-47.

With the clubs tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 11th and a runner on 2nd, first baseman Carlos A. Martinez, who is tied for 3rd in the ATL with a .403 batting average, hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Martinez said.
