Dairy Daddies Topple Otters as Cummings Shines
|
Midre Cummings made an impact in the 14-5 Danville win over Milwaukee. Cummings went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Ron Mahay, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Danville is 43-54 and Milwaukee, with the loss, 49-48.
Cummings had a key at-bat for Danville early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Danville an early 4-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Cummings told the Danville Herald.
