Dairy Daddies Topple Otters as Stevens Shines
|
Lee Stevens knocked in 5 runs to help Danville beat Milwaukee, 14-9. Stevens produced 3 singles and 1 home run. The win boosts the Dairy Daddies to 44-54. The loss puts the Otters at 49-49.
The Dairy Daddies got a big at-bat from catcher Mike Stanley. For the game, Stanley was 1 for 6 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Danville a 5-4 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stevens told the Danville Herald.
