Blue Crabs Hold Off Beasties, 4-3
|
Ocean City beat Bluff City at Ravens Ballpark, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Darrell May, who earned player of the game honors. The 4th-place Blue Crabs improved to 53-50.
Ocean City used the timely hitting of Scott Leius to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Crabs on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a solid team effort," said May after the game.
