The Danville Dairy Daddies topped the Columbus Clippers, 10-0, with second baseman Bill Doran playing a big role. Doran went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Dairy Daddies in the win. Danville reliever Ron Mahay was the winner. His record is now 9-1. Osvaldo Fernandez took the loss. Danville is now 53-54, Columbus 55-52.

Lee Stevens helped out the Danville cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Doran told the Danville Gazette.
