Abbott Helps Whalers Run Win Streak to 3
Kurt Abbott was the difference-maker for the Hartford Whalers in what turned into a shootout with the Ocean City Blue Crabs. Abbott earned the player of the game award after going 3-for-5 in the 14-9 Whalers win. Hartford now has a 3-game win streak.

There was more than one reason the Whalers beat the Blue Crabs, but Abbott's big at-bat in the top of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

"I had some good swings out there," said Abbott.
